Albany is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Albany is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Some places become much more than just cafΓ©s, and The Station is one of them. From the very first time I walked in, I felt welcomed. The kindness, warmth, and genuine hospitality of everyone there make this place truly unforgettable. It’s rare to find people who make you feel so comfortable just by being themselves. Love you ❀️ The food is absolutely delicious, the coffee is wonderful, and every detail reflects the care and passion behind this place. I love spending hours here. Reading a good book, working on my computer, or simply sharing meaningful conversations with friends. Time seems to slow down, and every visit feels peaceful, inspiring, and comforting. It’s not just about the great food, the coffee, or the beautiful atmosphere, it’s about the people, the sense of belonging, and the little moments that turn into lasting memories. The Station isn’t just my favorite cafΓ©; it’s one of my favorite places here.

This is a cute coffee shop in the neighborhood and yes I know they are having their soft opening but there are a few issues that I hope they address soon as the soft opening has been going on for a while now. The biggest issue is that there are only coffee options from the barista. If you want a non-coffee option they do have a refrigerated case but the selection is limited and very expensive. For example, I asked for an iced tea and was directed to the two varieties they had in the refrigerated case. Both were $5.25 for a regular 8 oz can of iced tea which is very expensive. I wound up getting some mineral water which was only $3.25. they had two pastry options a cinnamon bun and a pumpkin Danish. I got the pumpkin Danish which tasted good but was underdone. They also have some breakfast sandwiches which I did not try but appeared to have been made fresh. They have a cute seating area next to the kitchen and the place was very clean. I hope they expand their options. I would definitely come back but would wait until the regular opening in order to do so.

Soft opening. This sweet little eatery has been serving up breakfast and lunch for a number of weeks with plans for a grand opening in a couple of weeks. Jordan is the business’s chef-owner. I brought my little dog and a friend. We sat outside and ate lunch. It was so fun. It was cafeteria style. There was no table service. You can help yourself to a bagel sandwich and order coffees and baked goods from the cashier/ clerk. The food and coffee were very good. Jordan stops to say, β€œHello,” to his customers. Wishing him much success.

Its only a soft opening of their shop, so I dont want to be too harsh. They are still figuring out their sea legs and have a very limited menu while this happens. They were out of their cold brew when I went around 12pm. The total for one iced latte and 1 sandwich was $18. The latte was good but very average, not worth what it costs. It was a bit weak on coffee flavor and the flavor shot didnt come through either, so it was just a regular milky latte. I wouldnt be in a rush to get it again but it was really the cold brew I wanted to try. On the other hand, the bagel sandwich? Bacon, egg, cheese with a homemade sauce on an everything bagel, and it was DELICIOUS. Best sandwich I've had in a long, long time. I would go back for that. It was packed full of fillings and the flavor was so good. I think with a bit more time and consistency of product availability, this little place has potential.

Good coffee and good vibes. I stopped by during their soft opening for some coffee. I got a latte with whole milk and it was great. They mentioned they had a selection of syrups as well. Not sure which ones. They have oat milk and almond milk as well. The turnovers and danishes they had looked great. I'll have to try one of those next time.
